The Avventura’s travel guides for our favorite activities and restaurants from our favorite trips, and even some suggestions for what we wished we’d known in advance, what we would have done differently, and what we would add in next time.
The guides do not give an all-encompassing account of everything we did. We do not want to make a list of ‘Best’ or ‘Must-do’ experiences since we know it depends on your personal preferences. These are only our personal favorites and they are divided into two groups: “Avventura Favves” and “Other Things We Liked”.
We have been traveling and exploring as a couple, as a small nuclear family, and with larger groups of family and friends for over 20 years. We take planning very seriously and do extensive research before we go combining many sources of information (Google reviews, Trip Advisor, blogs, NYTimes Travel, The Guardian, TimeOut, Eater, and more). We always have a rough structure of our plans before we go, but once we are there, we often factor in recommendations from locals and will never hesitate to pull over on the side of the road if something catches our eye. We did all this work, so you don’t have to do as much. It’s a tough job but somebody’s gotta do it. Happy exploring!
We’re focusing on the places that we’ve been within the last 5 years so that the information is still relevant. The goal is to eventually have detailed guides for each. We’ve got some work to do!
